FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 12th, 2023. Buffalo, NY– VIA: Visually Impaired Advancement is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated first annual, Cocktails in the Dark event. Set to take place on September 12th, 2023, at the 500 Seneca St Atrium from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Cocktails in the Dark promises an extraordinary evening of sensory exploration and community engagement. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in cocktails, mocktails, and delectable hors-d’oeuvres. Highlighting the event will be interactive assistive technology demonstrations showcasing the innovative tools and advancements that empower individuals with visual impairments. Blindfolded beer, cocktail, and mocktail tastings add a fun twist while adding a unique sensory experience and raising awareness of the adversities the Blind and Visually Impaired communities face daily.

Cocktails in the Dark, inspired by VIA’s longstanding gala Dining in the Dark, is a smaller-sized event created to raise awareness and support for the Blind and Visually Impaired Community. Funds raised during the event will support VIA’s rehabilitation programs and services, ensuring that individuals with visual impairments receive the resources and assistance they need to thrive.

Tickets for this event are priced at $100.00 each, and for the special offer, two or more tickets can be purchased at $87.50 each. With limited availability, attendance is restricted to 240 guests. Interested individuals are encouraged to reserve their tickets promptly to ensure their participation in this impactful event.
