VIA hosts first annual Sprint for Sight

Buffalo, NY—VIA: Visually Impaired Advancement teamed up with Eye Care & Vision Associates (ECVA) for its first annual 2021 Sprint for Sight virtual run/walk.

The 5K run/walk event boasted 113 participants and 45 corporate sponsors, raising $49,600. Contribution from the event will support programming and services for people who are blind or visually impaired.

Local ophthalmic technician Aaron Rydzynski organized the race while assisting in gathering participants and donations. Aaron said the Sprint for Sight was a way he could give back to the community.
