National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is observed every October. As the month comes to a close, VIA: Visually Impaired Advancement would like to recognize the great companies who have partnered with our Workforce Development program. The 2021 NDEAM theme is “America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion.” In coordination with Western New York Employment Consortium and the NYS Office of Adult Career and Continuing Educational Services –Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR), VIA honored businesses and workers who are committed to the ACCESS-VR mission of assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and supporting independent living through training, education, rehabilitation, and career development.
